We're trying to standardize the number of TestDirector databases. Currently, project teams have the flexibility of creating and using their own. While this gives teams flexibility to create user-defined fields, it collectively adds up to several projects, many of which are no longer used when a project goes to production. Moving forward, we're contemplating the use of just two databases: one for development-related test cases and defects and another for production. What is the recommended number of TD databases, and what is the recommended method for archiving old TD databases?
