Exporting automated test scripts in TD
I have two environments where I conduct my testing. Both are on isolated networks. On one environment (Dev and Test environments) I have TD and QuickTest Pro installed. On the Production environment, all I have is Quicktest Pro. Right now all of my QTP scripts are stored in TD on the Test environment.
What I need to do is export all of my QTP test scripts stored in TD, put them on a CD, and then copy the contents of the CD onto the Production workstation. This allows me to run my QTP scripts on the Production environment, which won't have TD installed on it.
The long method of doing this is to copy each QTP script individually to my workstation hard drive on the Test environment and then burn a CD.
What I was wondering is if there is a quicker way to do this via a mass export? In other words, export all of the QTP scripts directly from the server TD is installed on directly to a CD?
Re: Exporting automated test scripts in TD
Open the directory structure of the Machine where TD is installed, Search for the scripts. The scripts are store on the Hard drives of the machine on which TD is Installed.
Copy them to another location.
Don't know by what names are they stored, perhaps they use the same Naming convention used when they are downloaded to the local PC when opened.
