Selection of test cases from a diff project in to Test set

    Hi,

If I create a test set for execution in one project and then wish to select a few test cases from a different project in to this test set, is it possible? I am trying of an alternative to copying (or duplicating) the set of test cases to be executed for every project where i need to execute them.

    Thanks,
    Raghu

I don't believe you can add tests to a test set from a different project. The tests have to exist as tests in the same project. Copy-Paste is the answer I'm afraid.

An alternative might be to create a 'general' project that contains your cross-project tests.

The bigger issue in all of this is test case organization up-front rather than at the execution step. You might want to take a step back and re-examine how you have things organized and see if there isn't a better method to accomplish what you need to.
