Test errors out intermittently on bogus errors
When running test set from TD, through QuickTestProfessional, occasionally the test will error out for no good reason. For example it will error because "the xx button was disabled"; however, the xx button was not really disabled. This is just one example. I experienced this several times today. If I run it directly from QuickTest, I do not have these problems.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a resolution?
Re: Test errors out intermittently on bogus errors
I am testing a Java application that re-uses some of the frames for different windows. There are some windows that have the same underlying TestObj. If more than one is open, I get similar errors. Check that first. Make sure you have only one of the object open (or that it can be recognized by QTP as a distinct obj).
Also, I have found that just because you can physically (or at least mouse-wise) click on something doesn't mean QTP will see it. Have you tried ObjectSpy on the button? Look at both the TO properties and the RO properties to make sure the devolopers didn't do something wierd with it.
Other than that, you have me stumped. Did you try Merc-Int's tech support?
