version control and testsets
Can i have two testsets containing the same tests but different versions when i use the version control? Or do i always see the latests version in all testsets. We would use SourceSafe. Or is it better to keep a sort of backup copies of the tests. its a small project with about 20 WinRunner tests.
The software under test is developed further but from time to time i need to test a small hotfix in the production environment.
Re: version control and testsets
To my knowledge, TestDirector does not allow you to reference multiple revisions of the same test. You use the Version Control feature to indicate which revision is active, and all references to the test will use the active revision.
If you need two variations of the same test at the same time, just consider creating two tests (on for each revision).
Best of luck!
