Error handling: TD vs. WR
I have been using WR for a few years and my company is considering purchasing TD. Until now, I've been careful to build error handling in my WR scripts using TSL.
My question is that if I purchase TD is it realistic to offload some of the error handling to TD instead. I was thinking I could write much smaller and modular WR scripts and have TD handle the recovery if something goes wrong.
Can anyone share any experience concerning distributing error/recovery handling between WR and TD.
Re: Error handling: TD vs. WR
I believe you are still better off to use error handling in WinRunner. The capability for WinRunner to isolate and resolve issues far surpasses that of TestDirector. Typically, TestDiretor can just repeat a Test Set or run an alternate test in the event of failure.
