    Requirements Tab in TestDirector 7.6

    Hi,
I am new to TestDirector 7.6. I have it installed on my machine which has windows 2000 Professional OS. I am going through the demo project. I cannot find the Requirements Tab. I can see Test Plan, Test Lab and Defects. I created a new MSAccess project and logged in. But its same case with that.

Do i need to set or change anything to view the Requirements Tab?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Requirements Tab in TestDirector 7.6

7.6 has the ability to restrict which tabs are seen by the users. It's possible that your admin set your user/user group up without the req tab.

Re: Requirements Tab in TestDirector 7.6

    From Mercury Problem ID 11480:

After installing TestDirector 7.x, not all of the tabs that were expected are visible. Sometimes the Requirements tab will not be visible. Sometimes the only tab visible will be the Defects tab.

Diagnosis: The TestDirector 7.x license key may not be correct.

It is possible to purchase TestDirector without the Requirements tab. If the user has a license like this, the Requirements tab will not be seen. When upgrading from previous versions of TestDirector to TestDirector 7.x, the Requirements module will be a separate purchase.

It is also possible to have license with only the Defects module. If this is the case, the user will only see the Defects tab.

Re: Requirements Tab in TestDirector 7.6

    Hey thanks,
We finally figured out that it was indeed a license key problem. Though it sounds strange, since we were upgrading from previous versions, Requirements module purchase was again another separate purchase necessary. Thanks for the reply.
