Is there a way to link the test scripts( in a physical directory ) to the test folders in the test plan tree so I can import(by linking only) test scripts into these folders by choosing the 'link' option and click on the 'Import' button. Currently, when I choose 'link' option and import, the scripts are imported into the default folder 'unattached' from where I have to move the scripts into their respective folders.
From within WinRunner, set your Test Director connection for the WinRunner menu "Tools->Test Director Connection".
Open the script you want to import into Test Director, do a "File->Save/Save As" and this will open the a Save dialogue with the TD Test Plan Tree. From here you select where you want to save your WinRunner test to.
Thank you very much for the solution. But, I am looking at a another way of importing the scripts into TD. I am referring to the 'Import' utility, where, after we connect to a project we select the scripts that we want to import, select the 'Link' radio button and click on the 'Import' button. When I do this, the selected scripts are copied into the default 'Unattached' folder in the 'Test Tree Plan' which I do not to happen but rather the scripts are copied into their user designated folders.
Hope you can shed some light on this.
