Running Scheduler after closin the browser
I just want to confirm that is there any way of running TD scheduler even if the TD browser is closed. I mean can it be run seperately in system's task bar.
Re: Running Scheduler after closin the browser
In the TD Downloads section, there is a batch executable program called RunTestSet.exe that can be used to run Test Sets from the server's command line.
Outside of this, the answer to your question is no. Currently, TD is not really 'schedulnig' anything - it is working with the system time of your server and local machine and literally 'counting down' the time from when you tell it to run to the time it should execute. So if you leave at 5:00 and schedule it for 7:00pm, it counts down two hours from the time scheduled and executes.
Supposed to be improved in future versions, but we shall see. Are you using WR or QTP? If you are using QuickTest, I'd recommend scheduling the tests for as soon after close of business as possible - there are memory leaks with the integration, and the browser being up six hours before execution can affect this.
