Updating a TD project w/o losing history of regr runs

    Hi,

We have two teams in our project - one doing testscript development, whereas the other one runs manual testcases as well as the automated regressions.
In order to isolate the automated regressions we keep two instances of TD. One having a stable project, while the other one continues to change as the developers update the scripts.
Now the test developers make several changes and want to make a drop to the regressin testers, how can we do this in the middle of a manual test run without losing the history of the testruns?

    Amitabh

If you don't need to access that history on a regular basis, I suggest you back up the project database, or better add it to your source control system.

That will not help us. When we make a drop we basically replace the existing database completely. So, we lose all the history. There is no way to continue testing from where we left off - unless off course we spend tonnes of time cross-checking what we have already executed and what remains to be executed.
    Any other solutions?
