Creating project in SQL Server
In Test Director 7.2
I am trying to create project in SQL Server 7.0 by choosing project type as MS-SQL in "Project Administrator Utility" it displays error "Unable to locate SQL Server". But I have SQL Server in my machine.
I even tried with BDE Configuration Utility. But unable to create.
Do I need to do any Settings? Any help would be appriciated.
Thanx in advance
Re: Creating project in SQL Server
I'd contact support to get more details, but first, attempt to connect to your SQL Server DBs outside of TestDirector completely - if you can't, then the issue isn't with TD. If you have a DBA who can help you, ask for ten minutes of his time.
In order for TD to create databases in the SQL server, you need an account to connect with that has proper permissions - but of course you have to be able to connect first.
Just 'having SQL Server' installed on the machine is not enough - it needs to be configured and set up properly. You can also download the updated installation guide from Mercury's site to help with this.
