QC 11 login error after patch 10 applied with Win7
On 1/2 of our Win7 PCs after QC patch 10 is applied we get an error on log in.
OTA version is not compatible with Application Lifecycle server: http:... OTA version 11, build 7051, server version 11, build 7484
This has to be a permission issue some where but we could not find it and yes the alm client registration was run. Since HP support downgraded our SR priority we found our own solution.
Remove the alm-clients folder:
then remove alm loaders
windows/downloaded program files/ALM Platform loader.11.ocx
When ALM/QC is reaccessed, the client will be re-installed properly.
