    Vugen & BAC/BPM : transaction management

    Hello,

    I am trying to record a script with Virtual User Generator that will be used to monitor an application with Business Process Monitor.

    I have several questions.

    Here my VuGen code:

    lr_start_transaction("Login1");

    sprintf(env_strg,"Login1 - %s - %s",lr_eval_string("{Hostname}"),lr_eval_string("{ Instance}"));

    lr_start_sub_transaction(env_strg,"Login1");

    nca_logon_connect("Logon", "{Login}", "{Password}", "{Instance}");

    nca_set_window("Navigator");

    if (lr_get_transaction_status("Login1") == LR_FAIL)
    lr_fail_trans_with_error("Login - An error has occurred: %s", param);

    lr_end_sub_transaction(env_strg,LR_AUTO);

    lr_end_transaction("Login1", LR_AUTO);

    1) if the transaction fails, i would like to send back a message to BPM.
    The 'lr_fail_trans_with_error("Login - An error has occurred: %s", param);' does not seem to work.
    Any idea?

    2) is the sub transaction supported in BPM?

    3) the script will be executed against several application servers and several databases. How to send back the parameters Hostname and Database to BPM from my script?

    thanks for your help

    How much LR experience and training do you have?
    Unless you are writing a compiler, strtok is NOT the answer.
