    Web_Reg_Save_Param adding 10 seconds to screen opn

    I am using WRSP to capture a correlated value, but it appears to be adding 5-10 seconds to the screen opening times and is throwing off my performance results. Is this normal behavior for WRSP and / or is there an option I may be missing that might reduce this time?

    This would come under the category of wasted time in the reported results. Wasted time is the time required to actually execute the LR API for an individual statement.

    There may be other issues that are increasing your response time, such as complex code where to post process your resulting capture. If this is the case, then perhaps you can make use of lr_stop_transaction(), paired with lr_resume_transaction() to block out the code which is slowing down your timing record report.

    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
    ...
    lr_start_transaction("foo");
    //some code you want to time
    lr_stop_transaction("foo");
    //some code you do not want to have included in your timing record
    lr_resume_transaction("foo");
    //some more code you want to time
    lr_end_transaction("foo",LR_AUTO);
    ...
    </pre><hr />

    ... and if your wasted time is high, consider looking into the compute power of your Vuser host platforms to ensure they are not in their own right - a bottleneck. Check to ensure unexpected processes/tasks are not running, etc. It is always good to reboot servers almost daily as well.
