Purchase of Web Services testing feature
We bought LoadRunner 8.2 and then discovered that it has a
feature to test Web Services which we have to test.
When discussing this with sales dept. in Mercury it appeared that for Qty. 250 we have to pay about $35,000 !!!
Can somebody comment this. Does 250 mean 250 users during the loading? May be it's possible to reduce reasonably configuration somehow and make the price not so astronomic.
Any comments, advises, shearing experience will be much appreciated.
Re: Purchase of Web Services testing feature
You could purchase web services virtual users for a term limited ontly to your term of actual execution of performance testing, such as one month, or even as short a period as one day.
The execution license does not limit your development capability. You can develop for any protocol listed in VUGEN. So, schedule your development and when you development is complete, begin your term license deployment. Charge the term license internally directly back to the project.
when the 250 Virtual users is noted, it is to allow for the concurrent execution of up to 250 virtual users in a single test.
