I have a query regarding loadrunner & hope I will get the solution from you.
I am testing a Manufacturing application for which I am preparing a script on our intranet which will be then run onsite. Now the problem here is in the application I have a form with some selections depending on which other data will populate, but I am not sure that the count of data which is populated now will be same at onsite & I want to correlate the occurence so my question remains that is there any other way to find the correct occurrence for selecting the data other than counting the data manually?
I am recording with WEB(HTTP/HTML).
If the information is insufficient I will provide with more information.
You might think about using the first selection/row in the form instead of trying to clakalate a variable outcome. You'll still probably have to correlate, but stand a better chance of your script running reliably.
You could also use the ORD=ALL option to web_reg_save_param to get all instances of what you're trying to correlate.
Thnx for your replies first.
I am not sure that it will solve the problem.
I would like to give one e.g. Suppose we have a combo box for a set of countries like US, UK, India, Australia and a subset of states populates depending upon the selection of country.
Firstly I select one country and three or four states populated depending on the selected country. Now I click on a button "Add MOre Rows". A second row appears with a combo box for country. when I select a country, corresponding states will appear in the next combo box.
Now the problem here is that test data added here at testing centre may not be same at onsite & no. of states may differ, which will obviously affect on the ORD we have selected and as the states for each contry differs ORD=ALL may not suffice the requirement. so is there any method to get the count of the states for the selected country to get the correct occurrence even if the no. of states change at onsite testing as we can not depend on test data.
