Question on load testing using LoadRunner
Q. A general question on performance testing
If I want to do load testing on a web based application for 200 vUsers. Do I use same data selection for all the 200 vUsers?
or each vUser I should select different data?
What is the best way of automation load testing?
My approach is select data from a external table and then use a master script and run through LR for each user.
My question is what is the industry standard? can any of you get more detail..
Re: Question on load testing using LoadRunner
You should make your test data as realistic as possible, if users in the real world would re-use a lot of data then you can do the same, if not, then you shouldn't.
You should get input from experienced end-users (if available), UAT testers, developers and as many other people as possible when designing your tests and data, to provide as realistic a load test as possible.
