    Recording interactions with signed Applets

    All,

I am a beginning user of the LoadRunner tool, though I have run through the tutorial with relative ease. Upon trying to use the tool to build a very basic script (login/logout), I was prompted with a dialog to run a signed applet. (I expected this.) I selected yes, then logged out of my application and ended my recording. I tried to replay my script and I received problems when my script got to the point at which I was asked to run the signed applet. The tutorial does not go as in-depth as this, and I am wondering where I should look within the user's guides to come up with a solution. Better yet, is there any resources that I will need? Will I have to write external TSL code to do this?

Any help is appreciated. If you need other info, let me know and I can respond right away.

    Thanks,
    M.G.

Re: Recording interactions with signed Applets

    All,
I apologize. After I read this, I did a "huh?". Okay, see if this helps a bit. I am recording interaction with a web based application. During my recording, I login through a basic form, and upon authentication, am brought to a main page. When I reach this main page, I am prompted to run an embedded signed applet, which I expected. I choose yes, and then proceed to logout. This is what I would like to do for a very basic (login/logout) script for the app.

Upon replay of my script, I see problems when my script tries to run this applet.

It was my mistake that I thought that the C code that is used to generate the script was called TSL. I had spoken to users of the loadrunner tool who said in certain situations, custom scripting was needed. I was curious on whether this was one of those occasions.

    Sorry for the miscommunication,

    M.G.

    Chirag,

Are you certain that the applet doesn't have a second protocol involved?
