If database contains only 50 users, can i run the script for 100 Vusers.

Suppose if i am checking Login request.(i.e i want to check how many users can successfully login at a time in my web application)
1.I have recorded script in VUGenerator.
2.In Load runner controller i have selected 100 Vusers.

    My question is
    1)Is it necessary to enter 100 UI/PWD.
or 2)Is the same script runs 100 times for same UI/PWD.
3)If database contains only 50 users, can i run the script for 100 Vusers.
    Regards,
    vivek

    1. No. It is not necessary.
    2. Depends on Assignment Method specified in properties for parameters.
    3. Yes, if your application allows more than one simultaneous login for same user-id.No if applications do not.

vivek, Actually your questions cannot be answered by anyone here. The answers to your questions are derived by going through a formal process of determining what questions need to be answered about performance. The questions you posted here need to be asked of your system architects, web, app, and db teams - during your performance test planning - while you are working toward the test objectives!
