Script Playback problems for Client Server Windows application
I am facing a problem while trying to playback the script for a client-server application. The script is throwing a message "Method not found" for each and every server component which it is encountering in the Playback.Has anyone been able to successfully test a COM+ client server application.
The script did not give an error during recording. We are using the COM/DCOM plug-ins for testing this COM+ client server application. Any guidance would be highly appreciated.
Re: Script Playback problems for Client Server Windows application
Yes, There are success stories with DCOM.
Is this your first DCOM engagement? Did you first aquaint yourself with the idiosyncratic nature of this protocol solution with the flights demo before moving to your application?
Are you certain that your filtering options are set correctly? Have you worked with your develoment to ensure that you are getting all of the correct COM/DCOM calls in your virtual user?
DCOM user types, because of the intimate involvement of development, are amongst the most difficult items to create and carry foreward successfully: It can be a challenge at times just finding the right development level resources who has a large enough view of the app to confirm which COM/DCOM calls are the correct ones for a given application.
Correlation and parameterization still come into play here as with any protocol.
