Seeking any info &/or experiences regarding using QT Pro scripts w/in a LoadRunner harness. Hitting a couple of hurdles as the existing QT scripts use the shared object repository model. Also looks like only a single QT instance per workstation is allowed. Any tips, advise would be much appreciated.
Uhmmm. Since QTP is a GUI-based tool, it makes sense that only 1 instance would be allowed on a workstation.
Any particular reason you need to use the QTP scripts for performance testing? Why not record VU scripts and eliminate all your problems?
Yup, that was my immediate conclusion as well especially since QT needs to execute its script against an actual browser. The original request was to leverage as much off the existing QT development in transition to implementing LR. Didn't think there was any real integration between the 2 other than running the QT scripts while the LR recorder is on to capture a base code for modeling transcactions. I'm actually more versed in using the standard protocol calls coming from my experiences with SilkPerformer. Just wanted to throw the query out there to cover the bases.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Well, there's more than that. But, as discussed, the direct use of QTP scripts involves GUI users - not a viable proposition for a full load test (usually).
