How should the download functionality be tested for performance using LoadRunner?
I need to performance test a download functionality using LoadRunner. But, am facing some problems while doing it. If I record the script for downloading a file from a website, and save it, I do not get any errors. When I click on the link for downloding a file, I get the windows save dialog box, and after specifying the physical location, the file is saved at that location. But, nothing is recorded in the script for the download part. I tried it using Single Protocol - Web (HTTP/HTML).
Is there any way we can performance test the download functionality using LoadRunner?
Re: How should the download functionality be tested for performance using LoadRunner?
Please clarify. If you need only test download functionality, you don't need LoadRunner.
If you intend to performance test it, what exactly do you expect to see in the script for the recorded download statement?
