when I have different response I used corellation to solve it
what about having different request like dynamic objects how the LR would recognize it? in QTP I used descriptive programming but what about LR how to solve it when I have dynamic objects?
I know LR is totally different than QTP but since I am better in QTP than LR I thought it is good to describe what I want using QTP terms.
any way what am encountering now is:
there are many buttons have the same name SELECT but appears in differnt places, these buttons to Select the flight you want and if you try to feed the application with the same information like Departure airport, arrival airport, date and time after 2 hours you will get different select buttons with different flight itenraries simply the flight you selected for your baseline recording doesn't exist any more so you have something different options available every time you do your selection.
any idea about how to solve this in LR , I solved it in QTP but since LR is not a functional tool it's not supporting DP it doesn't have OR and checkpoints
any suggestions would be great
Youa re operating at a different layer of the OSI model with LoadRunner. You should be using presentation layer terms involving the http protocol, not application layer terms regarding the GUI.
Press a button it generates a query. Don't discuss the button, discuss the query results at the presentation layer. When you replay you will not have a GUI.
The place to begin with any new tool is training. Have you had an opportunity to attend LoadRunner training asyet? The questions you ask are addressed both in training and the end user documentation for LoadRunner.
