which is better to set the Network speed using max. band width or using Modem 56K which is more realistic?
in the first case each Vu will take 0.7 sec. while in the second will need 140 sec.
am confused which one to use? to make the Vu react in a fast way or in a slow way? in real life 56K is more common but if the application can keep the pace with a high bandwidth then ther shouldn't be any problem keeping the pace with low bandwidth
please advice me

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Bandwidth throttling is more for usability. Your transaction times include not only the time that it took the server to process the request, but the time taken to transfer all data.
If your standards require that all transactions complete in < 7 seconds, and it takes 4 seconds to process the request, you are fine for a LAN connection, but exceed your limits on an ISDN line.
Additionally, when throttling is enabled, because your server is spending so much more time transferring data, it is spending less time processing the transaction. The server will have an easier time under the same number of VU. Thus, your performance metric reports are affected, as well.
