I am working as manual test engineer in a s/w company since from eight months. Now i get a chance to shift to another company but theywant me to learn LoadRunner. So plz someone help me how should i go with LoadRunner I resides in Mumbai, India.
Step 0 Establish proficiency in 'C', database design, system design, programming acumen (multiple languages), proficiency in network and application analysis tools, proficiency in application server tuning.
Step 1 LoadRunner Training
Step 2 Mentoring, you jr to an experience LR person
Step 3 Mentoring, you running a project with a senior LR person on staff as a backup
Step 4 Build your peer community
Step 5 After consideration from your mentor, begin running your own project.
Step 6 Cultivate your peer community
Step 7 Contribute to your peer community
Step 8 Become a mentor

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">There are no good Load Runner Training institutes in Mumbai, All of them will teach you is version 6.5. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]
There are really no resources available for learning LR in Mumbai. The fees for Mercury certifications is also not affordable.
Only solution is to join a big company and get an inhouse training.
I have also gone thru this. There is no other way.
