Load Test in predefined H/W and S/W

Considering that oracle 9i- database, AS-Oracle 9iAS, Front end developed in Java, do I really need to test the application for 100 Virtual Usres? as above defined architecture is well enough to serve the services.May I know your views?

It all depends on any Service Level Agreements or system specs that might be in place. This is a question for your customer and/or system architects, DBAs, and - not QAForums.

A robust architecture is a good thing, but load testing can identify things can tax even the best infrastructure... memory leak, improper (or no) use of database indexes, bad SQL, poorly designed database, poorly designed application, the list goes on.
