You could find the reason is that the single protocol only listens on one port. By using Multi protocol VuGen is listening on all ports even if you only have one protocol selected (HTML). This will not cause you any problems as far as your results are concerned. It also could be the way you have your proxy's set up if you are recording across a network? You could try recording using a locol proxy of 777 set up under the recording option in VuGen (ensure that you do this under the Browser settings as well).
