Problems on monitoring Linux Box
I have problem monitoring Linux Box.
rstatd is running on Linux Box and rpcinfo shows the following result
# rpcinfo -p Hotstname
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
100024 1 udp 32768 status
100024 1 tcp 32768 status
391002 2 tcp 32769 sgi_fam
100001 5 udp 657 rstatd
100001 3 udp 657 rstatd
100001 2 udp 657 rstatd
100001 1 udp 657 rstatd
But Controller machine throws the message
"UNIX Resources. Cannot initialize the monitoring on xxxxxxxxx . Error while creating the RPC
client. Ensure that machine can be connected and that it runs the rstat Daemon. RPC failed to create RPC client RPC-TCP: Failed to establish RPC server address"
There is no firewall between controller and Linux Box.
I couldn’t able to find answer in previous posts
Re: Problems on monitoring Linux Box
The knowledge base on the MI support site has a KB article (by Pankaj Bhatte/Anil Khadilkar) which covers Linux monitoring and Linux gen support.
