Using parameters in weg_reg_find boundaries??
Im having some trouble with using web_reg_find and having one of the boundaries being a parameter. The general theme of the script is as following -
1) Create Content Item
2) Edit Content Item
3) Hide Content Item
4) Show Content Item
5) Delete Content Item
However, there are many content items listed and to perform edit/show/delete etc i need the id of the content that each Vuser has created. Im recording in HTML mode (and URL mode would still have the same problems).
Therefore the RHS boundary if i use web_reg_find to capture the id would need to be linked to the content name (which is 'TESTING' in the code fragment below). However, this is going to be paramterized so that the content name is unique when the content is created. So the question im asking is this - can you use parameters as boundaries in Web_reg_find? This is the only way i can think of getting the necessary id of the content so that i can then edit, show, delete the content when each of the Vusers are running in the test. The html is below from which i need to capture the id and Id like to capture the value after 'referralLetterId=' :-
...referralLetterId=26&departmentId=1000001&am p; return false;">TESTING</a..
If my solution doesnt seem workable feel free to suggest others, im sure many of you must have experienced this problem or similar ones. One solution i thought of would be to create the same content names each time and make sure the amount of content is matched by the number of Vusers so they always pick the correct one listed but this seems a poor workaround and im not sure this would be particularly workable either.
Re: Using parameters in weg_reg_find boundaries??
simple use web_reg_save_param and use the param you used for the content creation in the selection of the right boundary. save the id into a param and use further down your script
