This is a good platform to find solutions to your probelms at least I guess.
My problem is I need to generate simple http requests, means milions of users will simply send request to the server while they browse the internet.
My task is to simulate those milion requests.Would anybody know the solution & take a bit extra effort to convey .It would very kind of you guys if you throw some light on this.
Thanks & regards,
You can easily do this in LoadRunner with the Web protocol.
Have a look at web_submit_url and web_custom_request.
You might want to consider a LoadRunner Web training course also.
I seriously doubt that you'll need to simulate millions of concurrent users, for a start this would require a serious amount of kit and $ for VUser licensing.
Perhaps what your really looking for millions of hits (which sounds more likely)?
Have a read at the following thread http://www.qaforums.com/cgi-bin/foru...=001099#000006
And also http://www.avoka.com/resources/keynote/3-3savoia.pdf
You need probably need to come up with a forumla to calculate the required number of users.
Try searching this and the Performance and Load Testing forum using the 'Advanced' search button at the top right of the page.
Hope this helps.
I found your inputs very useful.
I will definitly try out those two functions.
I would like to keep in touch on QAforums.
