    Time Stamps in log files

    The recording log generated does not have the time stamp of activities , is there any way its possible to get that on , on the log file so that its easier to know at what time the activity has taken place.

    Thanks in advance.

    The only way I know is to insert your own lr_log_message() calls in the script -- that's what I've done with most of my scripts.

    Go to Advanced Recording Options and
    select 'Generate Send data time stamp' check box and try recording again

    Re: Time Stamps in log files

    I think that option is available for Client/Server or some other protocol , I am looking for Web protocol, you know what I mean, I want to know at what time each user submits the reports etc to trace back from the end time.
    But Thanks

    But lr_log_message() inserts the messages into the log files and does not show up the time when that activity has taken place.Thanks but.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Well, I didn't mean to just put "lr_log_message();" in your script - you need to get the time to put in the argument - I assumed you knew how to do that. But, I'll spell it out:
    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">typedef long time_t;
    time_t t;
    // get datestamp and display
    time(&amp;t);
    lr_log_message(&quot;Start date/time: %s&quot;, ctime(&amp;t));</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">
