Rendezvous point interferes with scheduled scenario
I read "Rendezvous points ina vUser script interfere with a scheduled scenario. If u have Rendezvous points in ur script, therefore ur scenario will not run as scheduled."
1)How do Rendezvous points exactly interfere with the scenario scheduled?
2)Does it mean it is not advisable to have Rendezvous points in the script?
3)Is it better to have a scheduled scenario or use rendezvous points?
Re: Rendezvous point interferes with scheduled scenario
Rendezvous points are used rarely and should always be tied to an engineering requirement. The nature of a rendezvous point causes a wait point in the script execution until some other specified number of users arrive to continue execution.
This is not a suggestion not to use Rendezvous points in the documentation, but just a note on some user behavior which occurs with rendezvous points (because of how they work) that you may find unusual.
Example, Vuser Alpha has a rendezvous point as part of the script. The Rendezvous policy has been set for three users, wait until all arrive before continuing with a high timeout value. Users are sceheduled to start once every minute.
When you start your first Alpha, it will execute to the rendezvous point and halt execution until two other Alpha virtual users arrive., which now may take another three minutes. Instead of having a smooth integration of virtual users over time, blocks arrive on the scene at once because of the rendezvous insertion.
