We're trying to reinstall loadrunner TEMPORARY on a box that had a previous version (inclusding a previously TEMPORARY)
It won't aloow it as it keeps regenerating a Loadrunner/License2 registry key telling it that there was a previous version.
Anyone knwo how to completely remove previous loadrunner details ?
Re: uninstalling license registry key ?
To attempt to do what you are doing is a violation of the Mercury Interactive License agreement. Mercury Makes it very difficult to remove all of the artifacts because of the license issues previously noted. Pretty much you have two options

[*]Wipe the machine, reinstall the OS and then reinstall LoadRunner. You would still be in violation of the license agreement by doing this and subject to HUGE fines from Mercury - Up to treble the cost of LoadRunner plus having to purchase a copy to come into compliance with the license agreement. This path is not recommended[*]Send a purchase order to Mercury with the amount quoted to purchase a license. They have been known to turn around keys incredibly fast.[/list]
Ironically, for anyone to be aware of how to remove all of the artifacts and from which locations in the registry and the hard drive, that same person would have had to reverse engineer portions of the LoadRunner install, which is also a violation of the license agreement. Mercury goes after those individuals very agressivly.
Just food for thought.
