Hi there - I'm hoping that you can help a new user to Loadrunner with a problem that I have encountered.
My company has a web based java application that allows us to view all correspondence (in GIF format) sent to our customers. Each correspondence item can be selected by navigating to the appropriate weblink, and a remote server shall render the GIF image and return it to the web client.
I have developed a URL based loadrunner script in order to stress test this functionality but each time it is played-back, the GIF image is not returned (red cross displayed instead). I am sure that the appropriate form is being populated with the correct information (via web_submit_data) as the correspondence header information is returned successfully, just no image displayed.
Has anyone here encountered a similar problem and can suggest areas to look at to resolve this issue?
Re: URL script not displaying requested GIF image?
I've checked and the setting that you suggested is active.
The image is displayed by the following within the page source:
'image src=".../viewdocument?action=getdoc&docId=-[DocId]&pageNo=1" '
In this, the DocId is the only thing changing as it is dynamically allocated.
When I mentioned that the image is not displayed, this was a combination of the run-time viewer (which I won't trust anymore :-)) and the server logs.
