    Failed to connect to the agent

    I'm trying to connect to a remote injector as part of some distributed web tests and am getting the following message:-

    Failed to connect to the agent.
    Load Generator not responding after timeout
    Command line that was executed:
    -usr ..\dat\lr_trans_server.usr -lnch_interactive -controllerhost.........

    Am I correct in assuming it actually managed to talk tothe agent as the command line was executed?

    The controller is v 7.6.0.5 and the agent 7.8 would that cause the problem?

    Can the timeout be modified if that is the problem?

    Any info happily received

    Yes, your version mismatch is likely the problem. It is always advisable to have controller and injector at same release level for Major release, Minor release and patch level. This type of version mismatch always causes bizarre error messages when connection is possible.

    Yes,i agree with James.
    I too had similar problem when the versions of controller [7.5] and generator [7.6] are different.Upgrading the version of controller solved my problem and hope your's too.
