From my own experience, the best LR version is LR 7.6. It has better support for most protocols, has a "milti-protocol recording" feature, better Web protocol, and MI Support guys more probably will help you with that version than with 7.51 (my experience). The worst problem for me with 7.6 was really awful (even worse than with 7.51) support of COM/DCOM protocol. So bad, that Mercury had provided me with two (!) patches for it (after my 3 SRs). So, with 7.8 it really _must_ be better. Beside that, i have heard that MI plans to replace common LR monitors with SiteScope (as it did with Topaz). So, if in version 7.8 they did'nt done that, they did'nt do anything with monitors comparing with 7.6 at all. So far, I believe that 7.8 must be mostly bug-fix version, before really revolutionary 8.0.
