Simulating Brio Quickview 6 Reports
Hello all and thank you for your time in advance.
I've included a pic of the Brio tool I am trying to record scripts from.
Re: Simulating Brio Quickview 6 Reports
In a case like this where I am uncertain of the protocols being used by an application I will usually pull out a protocol analyzer, "sniff" the protocol stream, and have the analyzer report on the ports/protocol families used by the app.
Unless you happen to have a commercial protocol analyzer handy you might want to consider the use of Ethereal, an open source analyzer ( http://www.ethereal.com/ ). The interface is a little "off" in the windows version, with use of more UNIX-Style widgets than Windows ones, but it gets the job done. The protocol decodes are very good and the stream re-assembly has assisted me in recovering information which I have used to construct VUs in the past.
There should be a direct match from port/protocol identification under Ethereal to the candidate protocols for recording/VU construction in the LoadRunner Virtual User Generator.
