Capturing Dynamic Parameter Values in COM/DCOM scripts
I'm trying to establish whether there's a straightforward method of capturing dynamic values returned by COM/DCOM scripts (recorded as C). Vugen makes it easy enough to save the responses from the server as a BSTR string, but the required value is often buried deep within that string, so the string itself is of no use as a parameter value. What I'm looking for is an equivalent to web_reg_save_param (as used in the web protocol scripts to search the HTML for data within specified left and right hand boundaries). The LR documentation seems a little evasive on the issue. I realise I could write a C routine to search through the saved response value, but this seems pretty messy. Any suggestions, please? Do I have to do this the hard way, or am I missing something?
