    LoadRunner and ODBC

    Hi,

I am having some problem with ODBC scripts in Loadrunner. When I parameterize the data and give the values in a data file, the script does not take the next record. It takes the first record and then does not continue to go to the next record. I am running the script for 4 Vusers with 4 records to be inserted in the database. But it gives an error after inserting the first record.
Can anyone please help me out with this problem?

    Thanks
    Nita

    Re: LoadRunner and ODBC

How are your parameters defined? Unique, random, sequential, etc.

Are you looping within the Action section, or are you iterating?

    Re: LoadRunner and ODBC

    Hi,

My Parameters are defined unique. I am trying to run the script in the Controller for 4 Vusers.

And also, there a parameter 'transaction id' which is auto generated by the database in the format 'A000001'. How can I parameterize that data? Am I supposed to write a new function?

    Thanks

Do you have enough parameters in your file for the number of vusers x the number if iterations?

If you know for sure how the TID is being generated, you could build a dat file with Excel. Or, if you choose, you could go ahead and write a C function and call it from your script. Other options: for instance, if the 'A' is always there, you could use an incrementing parameter for the numeric portion.
