Abnormal PSAPPSRV processes when testing PeopleSoft 8.18

When testing PeopleSoft 8.18 we observed the abnormal PSAPPSRV processes being launched in pairs during a test, each abnormal PSAPPSRV process having 100% CPU utilization.

    1) Has somebody already encountered these abnormal PSAPPSRV process having 100% CPU utilization during PeopleSoft load testing?

    2) If answer is "Yes" - what was the reason?

Re: Abnormal PSAPPSRV processes when testing PeopleSoft 8.18

Haven't really seen the PSAPPSRV's eating up that big a chunk of the CPU but, I have seen these proceses retart themselves, and fail while the system was under load.
When that occured the APPSRV's did eat a chunk of CPU time, but never 100%, but then again I have 8 processors on the PSAPPSERVER box, so the individual CPU utilization could have been that high, and I didn't notice it. Try checking the Tuxedo log for any errrors, you should see some tpeinte(sp) erros in there. Good luck
