I currently inherited a project from a former coworker that was a funky combination of xml, soap and jsp. The problem is this, apparently the past several months that my coworker has been working on this project, the customer never decided to check the logs which showed active session errors because only one unique user could be in the system at anytime. Naturally, they decided to check that when I started testing. The problem is that the customer wants to track login response times for 500 different VUsers being in the system at once. user1, user2...user500.
Maybe it's from the lack of sleep, but my first instinct was to make a parameter of 500 different users and to make the file log them in randomnly, since squentially wouldnt help my cause. However, having them login randomnly wouldn't solve my problems either, because the random number generator would not guarantee that every user gets chosen atleast once. Its sounds like the obvious answer is in front of me, but I just can't see it yet. If anyone has suggestions on how to get 500 unique users logged in at once to stress this app of mine, please provide your input. I'll sleep on the idea tonight...thanks.
Edit: Never really asked a question. Here it is. Is it possible for you to specifically assign a different login for each VU that you want hammering your app? The actions performed by each user is the same, login, upload a file, download a file, delete a file, then logout. I only need the users to be unique.
