    Tree View Shows Error and Script view does not

    I have been using a Web_reg_find to catch a word

    web_reg_find("Text/IC='Procedures'",
    "Search=All",
    "SaveCount=string_count",
    LAST);

    //if (strcmp(lr_eval_string("{string_count}"),"0")==0)

    if (strcmp(lr_eval_string("{string_count}"),"0") == 0)

    {

    Use_Me_when_Procedure_details_Not_found() ;
    }

    else

    {
    Use_Me_when_Procedure_details_found();

    }

    When I toggle between script view and tree view

    I see following behavior

    Script view - Runs the program without error

    Tree view shows Syntax error

    Why these have to be different?

    Govind

    Re: Tree View Shows Error and Script view does not

    The script view invokes the LCC compiler - which is simply a port of the highly stable and tested Linux version.

    For the tree view, MI has had to implement their own C parser-interpreter, which apparently, isn't a-rate.

    Re: Tree View Shows Error and Script view does not

    I personally will recommend not to use the jazzy automations and features Loadrunner Virtual User Generator offers. Things like auto-correlation, tree view compiler etc, tend to behave fishy at times, and are not worth spending your efforts trying to identify the cause. All and all Vugen is a product-released-in-a-hurry, and should be treated as a simple recorder + simple editor, do not expect advanced features to work as promised.
