User manish_dhall (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
I have some doubts regarding usage of of various vuser scripts
1. I have a web based application(uses application server).So whats
- If use the Vu Gen to genrate the web vu gen script
- or use the script generated by the winrunner.
2. For database v user script,do i have to provide the set of sql
statements during the recording in LR. If yes then in what format it
is given to the LR.

There are limitations in the way WR works with LR. LR
records scripts at the protocol level, while WR is
context-sensitive. The difference manifests itself
prominently when you try to run a WR script for
multiple vusers. You need *one* machine for every
vuser - a 200-user test means 200 machines! So, while
it is possible, it is not feasible.
About the DB question: Read up the LR - Creating VUser
Scripts bood - specifically
Part V, pg 218.
