Hi, I found a problem while trying to record a script.
I need to record the load generated by four simultaneous .exe files,
that can not be executed directly from VUGen.
There are two problems on this,
1. I can not execute directly the exe files, they are automatically
generated by a monitor process called TS Monitor (see attached graph).
2. How can I record activity of four simultaneous process?
I think a solution would be, been able to record not only the monitor
process, but their child process too.
Is there a way to do it?.
How would you solve this situation?.
Thanks and regards.
yes Doug thanks but, nothing was recorded. Remember that they're four processes, not only one, and that the processes are really using the sockets, are started automatically (I'm not been able to start them from LR).
Are all 4 processes running on the same machine as child processes of TS Monitor ? If you have control over TSMonitor's invocation of these processes your problem will be simpler. Otherwise you might consider rigging the TS Monitor application to spawn the 4 processes on some global event.
If this is not SSL, have you considered gathering a protocol analyzer trace and then manually reconciling the calls made to the server(s) by the various processes to the appropriate loadrunner statements?
I have had to do this before for sockets and html-based applications which did not run under Windows (and therefore could not be recorded).
