Max. Virtual Users with LoadRunner
Can somebody tell what is the maximum virtual users supported with LoadRunner, to test WebApplication running on Sun Sparc Processor, iPlanet6.0, Oracle 8i.
Thanks in advance
Re: Max. Virtual Users with LoadRunner
LoadRunner is a distributed application - this is the controller-injector scenario. The controller is an application that runs on a machine and controls the spawning of threads/processes on other machines ( the injectors). All one needs to do is add more injector machines to the scenario. (These are also known as Generators.)
So how many users can I run ? If a single generator machine can run upto 50 vusers (depending on the type and memory footprint), then I can scale up to any number as long as I continously keep adding more machines to the scenario.
My personal estimate is that after one adds more than, say, 200 machines, the controller would get visibly affected by the sheer load of the amount of RPC it will have to sustain with the injectors/generators.
