I have a problem that I haven't come across before. I'm testing a browser-fronted application with varying numbers of web Vusers. The problem is that a number of the Vusers are failing to initialise every time I run the scenario. No matter how many Vusers I include in the group (I've tried 10, 20, 30, 40) roughly the same number - about 3 or 4 - fail to run in each case. I believe I've checked all the obvious factors, including Vuser Quota. I've tried ramping up more slowly, manually initialising Vusers one at a time. All the Vusers are being generated from the Controller machine, but it's nowhere near being saturated in terms of memory or CPU resource. All the Vusers are running the same script, and there's no parameterisation. I've tried manually running the application by opening a large number of browser sessions, and this works fine. Also, the problem only occurs when using the vuser_init section of the script. If I record the whole process - including the initial connection to the home page - into the Action section, this works fine. Any ideas, please?
Are you logging in to the website. I have seen this problem if you are trying to use unique usernames and do not have enough unique names in your parameter list for each user, etc. May not be your problem since you have tried with different number of users. How about connections allowed.
Really I would need to know the error you are receiving to help more.
