    Re: Recording shows nothing

Check the other sections - init and end. You may have recorded into them and not in actions. Read up on recording.

    Recording shows nothing

    Hi,
I just instlled the LoadRunner and I tried to use the VuGen to record the scripts. After I clicked on the Record button, it asked me about the URL and I provided it.Then, it opened the browser for me and I was trying to do some actions and hopefully it would record my behaviors. But, when it finished, in the Action1, there was nothing; totally empty. What did I do wrong? Can somebody help me? Thanks

    Re: Recording shows nothing

    Hi

Assuming you've checked the above suggestions, are you running Windows 2000? If so, your problem may be the same as one I've experienced. It seems to be specific to some (but not all) Windows 2000 builds, and I've only experienced it with the web protocol. As you described, Vugen launches the browser okay but doesn't record any actions. I've just seen a solution posted on the Mercury forum site by Jay Turco (credit where it's due ), and this has solved the problem for me:

"Make the following change in the registry:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVe rsion\Internet Settings\ProxySettingsPerUser

    Change setting to a "1"."

As always when editing the registry, consier taking a backup first and be careful! Hope this helps.
