No longer webtesting, what can I do?
Originally my company purchased LR for testing a web based application, but we have since, moved on to bigger and better things. Currently we have a p2p product that consists of java components running on the server side, along with an Oracle DB. And on the client side, a C++ app that acts as a mini webserver. I am having trouble seeing where LR will fit in to this scheme. Can I use java Vusers to interact with the java components on the server end...how about using C Vuser to emulate our client app? Do these seem like possibilities?

It definitely can fit your new env. You didn't specify how your client app communicates w/server. Since you write there's a web server, - you can try the HTTP virtual users.
