Load testing in LoadRunner without think time
I'm doing a web load testing and i wondered what are the reasons to do a test with users that ignore the think time - this is not a real case so why perform these tests?
Re: Load testing in LoadRunner without think time
Two reasons that I can think of
1) If you have 10 users with a think time such that the script takes 1 minute to run the load is 10 actions/minute. If you reduce the think time so that it takes 0.5 minutes you have 20 actions per minute. Thus modifying the think times will alter the load on the machine. Removing think times all together is taking the load as high as it possible can go (through the alteration of think times).
2) While developing the script in VU gen. If the script has some long pauses, it could take some time to see if it works. Taking out the think times allows you to run the script as fast as possible. Therefore you can see that the whole script runs with no errors in a shorter time.
