Here is our situation:
- Testing Client server application with Oracle
baceknd (application written in PB)
- Using Oracle 2tier protocol
- When I try to run the script from Vugen, I get the
follwoing error messgae:
Virtual User Script started
vuser_init.c(9): Error: lrdo_open_connection: "olog"
vuser_init.c(9): Error: ORA-12154: TNS:could not
resolve service name
vuser_init.c(9): lrd_open_connection: ERROR,
-16985 : Failed to end Transaction
vuser_init_Transaction (by name).
Any thought in this issue would be appreciated.
Also where can I learn more about LR Oracle and Corba

I recommend Googling for questions such as this, your response time
will be much faster.
This is most likely your TNSNAMES.ora file does not contain a valid
reference to the database instance you're trying to reference. How,
though, did you script without a valid tnsnames file?
Can a SQL*PLUS client connect to the database in question? If not,
you need to have the workstation configured correctly before you can
go any further. Presumably you have personnel to perform this
activity. Verify with DBA you've got the correct server/database
combination. Veryify DNS is accurate or that the IP address is valid.
COM has been documented at least as far back as 6.5 in the Books
Online and a chapter on Oracle has always been present.
